No Fire Sales!
This is the only flaw in the game, and something you all still have not added. It is a major part of baseball...the fire sale in midseason. Teams who are too far out and no longer contending, should put the players on the market who they either cannot afford to resign, have big contracts (not necessarily 35 years old) and players who are good, great even and unhappy with the team. In reality HOFers are traded at times, why can't it happen in the game.
Other than that, great game! |

There are fire sales. Look at this guy on the trading block in June. His team is set to lose 15 mil so he has to be traded. I tried to trade for him but the game wouldnt let me because it would have put me into the red.
The game seems improved the way its handling finances.

I played a season as the Mets and managed to get Rich Harden in a fire sale from the Cubs when they tanked midseason. This is actually the first version of the game I've seen that seems to have that sort of thing.
The only thing is that I got him for J.J. Putz and a midlevel minor leaguer, which isn't that much of a fire sale kind of scenario. It's just that Harden's contract was in its last year and I guess they didn't want to shell out the big bucks. But he wasn't the only one they traded. They traded Soriano to another team for prospects.

Marcus has managed to channel the spirit of Charlie Finley into this game. The trading block and trading features are a big step above.
