Development Modifiers for a SHORT season?
I want to have a league with a 50 or 60 game season, any suggetions on what I should use for development modifiers so that players advance at a rate similar to what they would in real life with 160 game seasons? I figure all levels of Minor leagues will have seasons at exactly the same length as the big leagues in this universe

If I recall correctly, the general wisdom is that modifying the development modifiers farther than half or double (.5-2.0) has little additional effect. Also, the changes are not linear, so going to 2.0 probably will not result in players developing twice as fast.
It MAY be that development is based upon years and fractions of years of service, rather than on length of season. If that's the case, then no particular tinkering should be needed. Hopefully, someone with more certain knowledge will chime in here.

Yeah, to me, it kind of doesn't make sense that you'd have to change those modifiers just because you play a short year.
I typically play a shorter year myself (80-100 games) and haven't seen any major issues from the default. |
