Relievers strike out too many?
In my fictional league I'm getting every reliever striking out at least 1 per inning. There are only a few relievers who have pitched more innings than they have k's for their carears.
Is anybody else experiencing this? I haven't changed strike out modifiers on in my creation statistics, but maybe something else I have changed has influenced this. Cheers, E |

This may be justifiable.
Someone posted about pinch hitters in real life striking out 23% more often than starting hitters, partially because hitters do worse the first time they face a pitcher in a game. With relief pitchers, they're practically always facing batters for the first time that game. Also, because they don't have to save themselves for a later inning, they can throw harder. In real life the average reliever does throw a few miles an hour faster than the average starter, and they do have a higher K/inning ratio.
