Amateur Draft Question

For those of us who don't play with feeder leagues turned on, when it comes time for the amateur draft, what do you trust when drafting prospects?
Do you simply go by your scouts ratings of the prospect (because obviously these can be unreliable)?
Is there something else other than unreliable scouting reports from your head scout that you can go by when the player has no career stats to look at without feeder leagues?

I don't know what else there could be if you are playing with scouts on. Sure, your scouts aren't extremely reliable, but that is what teams have to deal with in real life as well. Scouting amateur players is hard.

Cross check with OSA. If OSA agrees with your scout that a draftee is good, the odds of him being really worthwhile climb demonstrably. If they agree that the guy sicks, then he probably really sucks. If they disagree, then things start getting interesting (or frustrating).

Wish I could claim credit for this idea, but it's something I read on this board a week or so ago.

OSA and Scouts actually agree on a player??? No way! My scout is pretty good, his report and OSA reports are rarely similar.
