Adding Teams to Imported v9

For you guys who've done it without causing yourself problems , I have a question.

I'm planning to import a v9 league into 10 and then create a template from it because I want to add more teams to it. I want to make sure I have the majority of my steps covered so as not to have to do-it-again. Yeah, right.

So, I'm going to create the template in 10. Of course I'll have to move all the logos, uniforms, ballparks, etc... over to the newly created world after the creation, but I want to add some teams before actually clicking start game. Now the template will already contain 24 teams with their affiliated minors and I don't want any of those changed.

How would I add the teams, the divisions they'll occupy, add thier minor league affiliates at all levels (I'm hoping that's automated somehow?) and essentially have the league structure I did have, but including the new teams, divisions, and minor league affiliates assigned TO those new teams?

I may have repeated myself in there, but I hope you get the drift. Any thoughts or warnings about what I want to do? Help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

On second look, I'm re-evaluating the Edit League Structure option available to us me in the preseason and offseason, IIRC. I do think that would probably mean I'd have to add all of the minors manually one at a time, but it may be worth the control.

Watchya think?

if you import I beleave they will import with any pictures logos and all from ootp9

as for creating more teams you can add to in in the structure and the quickest way to make a minor league is to fo to the mene button on the bottom right of the screen and click add minor league, and it will create a legue at the level you say with the same number of teams as the parrent league.

if you want smaller leagues with all your teams with one team at the level, like with AAA in the ML there are 2 AAA and each ml Team has 1 AAA team in one of those leagues. to do that I start the game add a new league of that level and move a few teams from the first to the new. it keeps the players when you do this so you can split a league in future years. to move a team you just go into the the change structure function where you can add, delete and move teams diviions and sub leagues
