Does scouting work like this?

Is it possible that my scout sees a player differently than scouts from the other fictional teams in my league. Example..I shop a hack player around and am surprised to find a pretty good looking player offered in return. I realise that the ratings of the offered palyer are those of my Scout so, is it possible that the scout for the offering team rated him much lower that mine?? Some one is wrong. Is this part of the scouting AI? Each of us thinks we got the better of the deal?

Yes, this is how scouting is supposed to work. Though sometimes the trading AI can be a little wonky too. Many people make house rules when trading with the AI.

Keep in mind they could both be wrong. Your scout rates your guy poorly, but the other team's scout thinks he's great, and vice versa with the other team's guy. They might both be mediocre! Only way to tell is to play the games and see who performs.
