OOTP 10 Patch #1, Version 10.1.14, Available Now!

Hey friends,

We have just released the first patch for OOTP 10, version 10.1.14!

For detailed instructions on how to patch, please see here.

For details of what was fixed, please see here.

Always back up important files before updating your software!

The focus of this patch was to fix/tune critical issues as well as updating and improving the 2009 roster set.

If you have trouble with the patch tool, I suggest downloading the full installer and then simply install it over your current OOTP 10 installation. Again, this will NOT result in a loss of your saved-games, they remain untouched.

Anybody else getting errors loading the game after patching?

I'm currently stuck on one saying:

NATION::import_flag_image - unable to move down into nation_flags directory

Using the Mac version in the default install directory, the patch appears to go OK, but the version number in the game is still 10.0.7, not 10.1.14 as this thread says it should be.

This means it was not installed in the proper folder. I tested it on my Macbook using the default, and the version says 10.1.14, as it should.

Please try the full installer instead. You error message indicates that it was not installed to the location where the original installation was.

Ah, never mind. I keep forgetting, on Macs, the program directory and the menu icons are one and the same. Moving a program icon is the same as moving the program's location.
