New League Operator in need of help

Ok so at one time I was a league owner and had a very successful league up and running. However those were back in the days of OOTP6 and now with OOTP X, I'm in need of advice. How is the game? What patches do people find necessary? And then most of all, which is the best up to date MLB roster pack?

The game is the best release version of OOTP I've ever played, there is only one patch so that one is the one you need and OOTPX comes with 2009 opening day rosters but I haven't seen any roster more up to date than that, but also I haven't looked.

I don't agree, the more I play this version the more I wish I had not wasted my money. I should have just stayed with version 9

That's pretty much how I felt about every release between ootp6 and ootpx.

Contact F. Montoya. He set up a website for me and was great at support.

The cost was very reasonable, too.

"F. Montoya" is his OOTPB name.

I highly recommend him.

I feel exactly the opposite.
I love X, worth the money from 8 which I had before.
6 was fun when it was new, but going back to it pales in comparison to the modern version, don't know how I lived with some of those limitations now

Haha. I won't argue the "how did we live with the limitations of 6" comment. That's true of all games though. The Legend of Zelda on NES was an amazing game in it's day but horrible by the standards of now. Just the nature of technological advance.

Frankly you are unlikely to find site to offer free hosting that supports the requirements of an ootp on-line league. Use the site recommended above from f.montoya. Look at his site for costs. It's very reasonable.
