Interesting. My problem (with a G4 Mac) is that it keeps trying to put things in the Applications folder, and I don't want them there. Why in the world it can't figure out that games go in the Games folder is beyond me.

I downloaded mirror 1 (not that I know what that means). It downloaded, but my problem remains. I am now downloading mirror 2. I suspect that I am missing the vital Install step, but can't see how. Clearly, I am a baseball fan, NOT a computer person.

Sorry, I'm not sure what it is you're trying to do. Do you have the game already and are trying to get the patch? Are you trying to download the game? What problem remains?

This is NOT the new patch guys, the new patch isn't expected for another few days or so.
