First time using personality factors in a fictional league.
On my 25 man MLB roster I have three players with very high leadership skills(100,99,80). The remaining 22 players range between 3 and 19. I do have a very young roster overall. The players that have very low leadership skills...do they have a NEGATIVE impact on the team( think Terrell Owens)? Or they just don't contribute in a postive fashion? For all the personality factors...can they change over time or do they remain fixed? Also, are the personality factors 100% accurate as shown...or are they subject to "scouting error" as I am playing with scouts on? STARS I performed a scouting report on a player that appears on the league wavier wire. When I got the report back from my scout, the star ratings were different. When I open the player's card and view the profile screen it shows 3.5/4.0. When I open the scouting report tab under his profile page, my scout evaluates him only as 1.5/2.5. However...all his actual and potential ratings for stuff, movement and control are shown EXACTLY the same on both pages. Why the difference...which to believe? Purchased game originally with patch #1 included...updated to second patch. |

Although I'd like to, I don't know the answer to your personality questions. The manual doesn't go into great depth about them. I suppose you could fairly easily test whether they change over time. Just record a bunch then sim 10 years of a test lg into the future.
As for stars, Markus says the patch and getting new reports was supposed to fix this, but it doesn't sound like that's the case at least for you. With that difference, however, if you changed the overalls to be based entirely on ratings then I think you could probably figure out which one to trust based on the component ratings. Check a few players with large differences to make sure it's the same screen every time though.

I think that if the lower leadership ratings had a negative effect, then the average player's leadership ability would be at a neutral level, such as 5 or so. Since a huge bulk of players' leadership ratings are at 3 or lower, I don't anticipate there being any negative effects of a low leadership rating (besides the lack of leadership), or else every team in every league would be suffering from big negative-leadership penalities.
