Question about awards

I am simming 100 years to add history to my league. I went back to look at the pitcher of the year in 1901(my first year) in my college feeder league and the guy that was chosen is showing with 0 in all stats and when I click his name it is way off from who he is. I do have delete anyone who did not make it to the majors checked. Could this be the reason he is not showing? It is about 22 years since then year wise so he may have retired already after never doing anything after college. Just curious, not really a big deal.

Yeah, he's probably retired and now deleted from the database with his player ID reassigned to a new player.

SO if I go in and uncheck that then from now on they players would not be deleted and would show for the whole time?

Yep. I tend to like keeping all the minor leaguers. But it can bloat your database size, causing the game to run more slowly.

The biggest benefit beyond the fact that you don't lose the player's data is that the game doesn't recycle the player numbers. I wish it didn't recycle the player numbers in either case, since some online leagues are riddled with players histories like:

Yep, that's what should happen. As you suggest, you won't get back the guys that have already been replaced with new players, though.
