Is this going to hurt my rookie??

I just drafted Dustin Ackley... A week after the draft Jayson Werth got hurt and I put him on the 15 day DL, and called Ackley up for fun really.

In 2 games he's 4/10, 1R, 2RBI, 2 SB.

The question is: Does this in anyway hurt his development, make it longer for him to reach his potential, or should I just keep him in the minors until hes ready???

There is not a firm answer to your question. It depends on the player. If he is ready for the level he is at, then it will not hurt his development. If he is playing in a league that he is not ready for, that could hurt him. He could also stagnate if he is playing in a league that is below his skill level.
