WOW! I just got canned early!

Its May 16, 2009. I just spent hours setting up a new custom league, drafting, re-naming everything. My top and 3rd picks suffered 4 month injuries in April and we got off to a 12-22 start. And, I'm toast!!!!!!!

Ugh. All that time spent setting things up. And I have no idea if I can undo it and get my job back!!!!!

Give yourself commissioner privileges and then set yourself back as the owner of your team. You can also choose the option to never get fired.

Or just check the never get fired button if you choose to play with finances.

Yep it happen to me 40 games into my league with my 1980 Jays. After that I always tried to get jobs in their division to beat their ass. I like building teams up so if i manage to survive and build a winner, i'll resign and take a job with another team and start all over. I love how there are so many ways to play...

Hey its all good...maybe you could take over managing the Buffalo Bisons...I don't see how they could do any worse than with who they have now...

I always tick the 'can't get fired' box. I love to manage the team of my choice for as long as I want, trying new things, experimenting with lineups and strategy.

I love the fact that OOTP lets players play their way. You can just manage your team, or play the role of a manager who can get fired for poor performance.

I wish FM had this option. For years I've campaigned for it, only to get flamed on their board each and every time. So this year I didn't bother to purchase their game.
