How do I uninstall?
How do I uninstall OOTPX?
Game got corrupted when I turned off computer in middle of an inaugural draft after an unrelated WebCam.exe problem froze my computer. I need to uninstall, I think, and reinstall. Last edited by jar2574; 07-03-2009 at 09:30 AM. |

And yes, I looked at the manual, followed the instructions, and they did not work.
After I clicked on "uninstall" there were no "prompts" to click on in the "uninstaller program." It said "uninstallation data missing" at the top of the uninstaller program. Minor issue, no? Last edited by jar2574; 07-03-2009 at 09:29 AM. |

Next update: I put all OOTP 10 files into the recycle bin. I downloaded the files from the pre-order link in the email I got a month ago. I downloaded the latest patch.
The problem still exists. The game crashes at the inaugural draft stage. So I'm at a loss for what to do. If I can't use the uninstall function, and I can't get rid of the problem by erasing and redownloading the game, I don't know what to do. |

Have you tried uninstalling through the control panel?

I think its a double bug.
My game was also corrupted through an unrelated crash and I lost my universe . Mine was in the lineup selection screen when my comp shut off unexpectedly. I dont understand why this would corrupt the game files? Also, the uninstaller is missing in my game too. Uninstall the small file in the program files and the larger one in Documents and you should be OK.

I had not deleted the Documents portion. Doing that and then reloading the game fixed the problem. And yes, I think this is a double bug. OOTP 9 & 10 seem "unstable" in that you run the risk of corrupting certain screens by shutting off your computer without saving. I don't understand why a given screen would be corrupted in every game, every league, new and old, once you corrupt it in one league by shutting off the game. Same thing happened to me in OOTP 9 with the lineup screen. Sounds similar to what happened to you. And yeah, there is no uninstaller in 10 apparently. Oh well, time to start things again and hope I never have to shut off mid-game. |
