Yeah, I just realized I almost always play without the DH so I don't think I've ever noticed this.

I usually use 3 catchers if 2 can hit, I usually have 11 P 6 IF, 5 OF, 2 C and that leaves me 1 extra guy that I use for any weaknesses, and often will be the 3rd catcher or another OF if the DH if an OF.

It may not be real base ball rules but it is a good work around

Well, I dont like using a C as a DH because I dont want to needlessly lose the DH in any case. (now, I might move my catcher to say 1B for a game, if he can play there, but I never keep him in the lineup at DH, course finding a C who is a god enough hitter to DH is usually a problem for me. )

But, to answer your question. Probably would be no change, except for maybe the designated emergency catcher might be called upon a couple more times a year. But, with 12 pitchers, you really couldnt carry 2 bench guys who are solely catchers. Unless perhaps that 3rd guy is some kind of Smoky Burgess PH freak.

There's a lot of that. Small but necessary things that require a lot of work don't get done. It's sure not what you'd expect from a German product.

I play alot of sims online and each has their limits.

In this case, they should make the DH a position and allow swaps as it was a pitcher. I know its not the exact rules for a DH but because of programming issues they should make it this way, otherwise Outfielders would be the only players able to DH since they have the most replacements incase others got hurt as stated in a previous post about the Catcher getting hurt.

Since it cant be like the real rules then it needs to be made to work as closely as possible to the rules, even if it means breaking the original rules. This is a sim game and rules should be made to fit the sim.

I vote to make the DH a position and treat it as a pitcher for the purpose of the game which would benefit people and their strategy especially if the DH is the backup catcher or other position that got hurt...
