My Starting SS forgot how to play SS?

Someone explain this to me... my SS got injured for a year, and I notice after he comes back he went from a 19/20 at SS and 18/20 at 2b to 1/20 on 3rd base? How is this possible?

furthermore, when I go into the editor it shows him as having ratings for 2b and SS. Maybe this is a bug?

Did he lose a lot of IF Arm rating?

Some positions have a minimum rating requirements. I know that no matter how good the player's 3B rating is, if his arm goes below a certain point, he's no longer rated on his front page as a 3B. For 2B, and I suspect SS, the DP rating is crucial.
