My dominate start in a solo league

Take a look at my 2009 Indians. 50-17 (I play out every game) - & look and the AL league leaders... I have never dominated like this - not with any team in any series of OOTP. It's like I can't lose - I'll be down by a couple runs in the 6th/7th inning and I know my guys will put together or 5 run 8th to take the lead - I'm loving it!

I'm a huge sim player so that would make a big ZERO! I'm playing with the default roster set after the patch. If I get time I'll some of the career year some of my players are having

ahhh - got it. You should see my quick sim league I played a couple years ago. I think I had over 2,000 "unread" e-mails. I hardly ever click on the stories.

Out of curiosity, do you happen to use the "Take Pitch" function a lot? The reason I ask is that I recently had a Blue Jays career going where I played out every game, and was I think 34-6 when I stopped. I'd constantly take pitches and be done with the other team's starter by the 4th or 5th inning and then just keep doing the same with their bullpen so that in a 3 or 4 game series, I'd undoubtedly pick up the win because the computer AI can't seem to realize that they should demote a position player and bring up an additional pitcher.

Anyways, I could also rely on the 5-run 8th as you mention due to taking many walks and the other team just walking in a few guys. However, it did backfire on me sometimes such as the 161-pitch performance Dallas Braden had where my guys could walk to load the bases, but just couldn't hit.

As I recall, Vernon Wells was hitting about .240 with an OBP of around .450 and 30 SBs. I led the league in team OBP, walks and stolen bases. I probably also led the league in being caught stealing, but that wasn't a big deal.

I expected Cleveland to tear it up this eyar, at least you're doing them justice. Though I am a Yankee fan.

The only time I use the take pitch button is when I accidentally click it if I'm using the mouse I play "one pitch" mode.

I did that and had a lot of success playing with the Astros. I'd just try to wear their staff down by making them throw a lot of pitches. Lost interest in it after a bit though.
