Boners in OOTP X

And I quote: "Jacobs can laugh about it now, but he nearly pulled a boner!"! Good stuff. I'll never forget the ancient substitute teacher we had in sixth grade who made a similar comment and then got angry when we couldn't stop laughing. Good times.

I loled as I was reading the PBP the other day. About gave away I was playing the game to my wife, who thought I was working.

Some tips to help keep you from getting busted while secretly playing OOTP:

1. Play on a laptop with your back to a wall, or as close to it as you can get

2. Look very serious at all times while you play

3. Never, ever celebrate - even a soft "Yes!" will get you busted like Benjamin Bunny

4. Keep a spreadsheet open and available for a quick ALT-TAB (or other replacement move) in case anyone walks to where they can see your screen

5. Keep a pencil and some paper nearby. Periodically mumble and write something cryptic on it.

As long as no one gets behind you to where they can see your laptop screen, everyone will think you are working.

Maybe they should add a BOSS Mode mod - remove everything but the text and surround it with graphs and tables - no graphics.

This is my favorite. I'd love to see the sheets of paper filled with cryptic writings. I imagine lines that could be mistaken for work related things (especially for those who don't know baseball acronyms):

"How can I get Sampson to produce more?"
"Smith's VORP is just way too low. We may have to let him go..."
"We're hemorrhaging money thanks to our latest acquisition."
"We've fallen four games in the standings in the last week."

Okay, okay, don't write that last one. That could get you busted.
