Thanks for your work on this. I will give it a try.

The old league was getting a little too easy, time to start again. We'll see how this financial file does.

but, at worst, you can do a bit of a work around to fix it:
1. crack open financials.txt from v9
2. copy the last line. i think that's for year 2008...
3. paste that text below but change the year from "2008" to "2009"
4. repeat step 3 to add as many years as needed to bring the last year of the file up to (or slightly ahead of) your current year.

Can anyone confirm this will work for sure???

Actually, we're hoping the final patch will fix this file. Hoping like heck.

Well, here is what I did, and it seems to work fairly well. I put in the OOTP9 file, and then copied and pasted the 2008 year, and changed the year to 2009, and 2010. I then recalculated all players salaries based on value, and then assigned fictional financials based on payroll. This way it toned down the salaries and budgets to a "working" level (ala OOTP9) and now all teams are in the black, yet don't have projected budgets of 57 million, but rather in the 3-11 million range. Market sizes seemed to remain realistic since the largest markets have the highest payrolls anyway. Note this is the best way to fix the MLB qickstart about a year or two in.

I would like to get an answer on this as well. I don't see any reference to any of this getting fixed in patch 4, but I see 2 fixes around it in the patch 1 notes.

Hey clamel, I compared the financials.txt file that I have after installing the latest patch to the file posted at this link - Financials.txt file

They are the same file. So, I think it is safe to say that Markus added Gambo's file to this patch.

Then why do I have to ask this ????

Every AI team is BROKE!

Media Revenue is ZERO for all teams year after year.

ADDED: I must have made a mistake since ALL teams market size is ZERO.
How could this happen, since I haven´t messed with any default settings with financials.... ???

So if I started a new MLB quickstart league post-patch, shouldn't I be seeing the same things as what was in Gambo's file back on page 4?

Just glancing, things aren't matching up. What can/should I do? Not sure what the latest is on this situation.
