De-License
How would one go about de-licenseing this product. I just bought a new computer and need to take it off my old comp and put it on my new one. I also have one on my laptop and want to keep it on there. Any help would be nice. I looked on the form and there really isnt step by step help for this.
Thank you |

Go to your desktop menu, all programs. Find the one for OOTPX, in the folder is another named tools. In there is an option to unlicense OOTPX.

Actually, Bruce, that shortcut is busted in this version. *cries*
Try this: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/joom...p-license.html

I'm trying to un-install a license. Don't have a clue how to do it. I don't have an "Elicense" on my control panel.
I had the game installed on two computers. I upgraded my main computer to Windows Vista 64 bit. Afterwards, I couldn't run the game there. I could see the folders there and can access them but I just could not get them to run. Finally I just deleted the folders and tried to re-install/fix the game on that computer but I get the message that I have run out of "licenses." The other computer still has the game on it except the computer sucks. All except I don't have an elicense anywhere on the Control panel. I'm afraid to simply delete the game or "uninstall" it from Windows because I might not have access to anything resembling a license. Bummer. Can anyone help me here? |

I recovered the OOTP games I deleted (they were still in the recycle bin).
But, I still cannot get the game to run. When I try to run the game from the old folder, it still asks me for a license and then tells me I'm out of licenses. Bummer. |

How did that ever get past the testers?

Actually, there is a lengthy form that must be filled out here that asks some incredibly difficult questions about some of the specific incoming and outgoing servers on my ISP account. What possible difference does it make about the servers?
I have the disk sitting right here on my desk. The game is already patched up to 10.2.16? I simply cannot access the game for some reason. It also asks for my actual ISP account name and password. Why in world would anyone EVER need that sort of information??? I simply cannot give that information to them. I don't believe for a second that they need that information to process my claim. |

I just have to say this again...
...did you get the part where I have to submit my actual ISP username and password??? Did you get that part????? That is something I cannot do. This is not acceptable. There simply must be another solution to this problem. |

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Where did you get this "form"?

I just filled out the elicense form to unlicense a couple of other games and they most certainly don't ask for that information. Are you sure you went to the right site? Maybe you have a hijacker on your system?

There may indeed be a good explanation for it. Also, I'm sure there is a good explanation why the game doesn't run under Windows Vista on this computer. And there's probably a good explanation for why I can't un-install the game from my other computer as well. There's' probably really good reasons for all of that stuff. But the bottom line is that none of that stuff is working as it should right now. I bought this game for entertainment purposes. But it's taking me a lot of time to resolve issues I really don't want to deal with. My time is valuable to me. Like most working adults, I don't have much to spare...and I don't want to spend what time I have on unpleasant matters like this. I'll simply find another source of entertainment. Sad. It seems like a good game. A little buggy maybe. But good nonetheless. |

Oh, you must be talking about this thing. Eh, don't bother with that, just email them with your name, the software you purchased (OOTP) and your platform (Vista). They probably only need that other stuff for a bug or something. You just want your license released.
EDIT: Oh, and include your order ID if you can.

KGrob, if you click the above link and a password is requested or it happens again on another site where you don't think it should, then you probably have an infection. I'm a computer tech and clean several infections a week and hijackers are one of the common ones I see. Basically, they redirect you from the site you intended to go to so they can try and trick you into giving them some personal information. I just wanted to warn you just in case. |

If you want to unlicense, bring up the Run box and paste this into it (replace drive/directory as needed).
C:\Program Files (x86)\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 10\ootp10.exe -unlicense |

Unfortunately, I have had to unlicense and uninstall several times on my two computers in the past few weeks. I did what MTXperience suggests and even set up a shortcut on my desktop to make it easier the next time. It seems to be the best way to unlicense.
