neat...snow!
I just played a spring training game in Cheyenne Wyoming and there was snow! That's the first time I've seen that in the game. I'm guessing we've had snow in real life baseball, but I can't remember. I guess most teams play spring training in a warm place, so if it was more like real-life the team wouldn't be playing in Cheyenne in spring training.

Snowed opening day of the 2002 season was the last time it sonwed on opening day for the Tigers. Man was it miserable. It's not uncommon to have snow in the forecast even though it hasnt' happened in a few years.
Yet to see it in ootp baseball though. Nice find. |

Yeah, I have a solo league setup around the Great Lakes and I've had more than a few spring games in the snow. Makes me feel like my league is tougher than the MLB
![]() The Indians have had plenty of 'snow outs' in my lifetime, to the extent that they almost never open the season at home anymore.

Just that cold wind is unbearable! I first went to that part of the country one Spring to take command of a unit and when I got out of my car the wind was just hideous - strong and really, really cold. I jumped right into one of the unit's trucks and asked the driver how long the wind had been blowing like this. "Since I got here," he told me. "When did you get here?" I asked him, thinking that maybe he had just got there himself. "About two years ago," he replied.
I can't imagine how much worse it would have been with snow as well!

Uh...no.
Since I retired I don't even visit anywhere that ever gets snow.

I am in Western Wyoming where it is absolutely gorgeous. The snow is rough if you can't enjoy it. I couldn't live in Cheyenne, Laramie because it is too cold and nothings there.

I think it is cool, I have always felt that baseball and football (American style) are open door games and need to be outside. I live the last pure domed baseball city next year. I yearn for grass and sunshine at the dome. I also hope the NHL will do a winter classic at the new Met in the Twin Cities.

Didn't we actually move our 'home opener' to Minneapolis a couple of years ago because of snow here in Cleveland?

It was Milwaukee, but now that you mention it, yes I remember that. I think it was 3 years ago. It was whatever year had that record snowfall all winter, like over 100" for the season.
