import / export files and modifiy name

Hello

Is someone can help me about edit player name and team... when using imort / export function with ootpx.

My problem is i export file and then open it to change name (eg. change derek jeter as michael jordan) and save the file as .txt.

When i re-import the roster eveything goes right but the name is still derek jeter = no name change. I don't want to use editor because it is too long and i want to create ncaa div 1 player with import / export option.

Could someone explain me what is wrong please?

I also use the method to open the file with Excel and save as .csv but i never see any change.

Thank you for helping me

There is a note in the exported roster file that states:
NOTE: Player and team names are purely cosmetical and will not be used when importing.

The player names are in the file so you don't have to research who player 5614 is. And then repeat that several hundred times.

I can't answer why the rosters.txt file doesn't permit you to alter player names, but that's why the player names are in the file to begin with.

Importing rosters -- Frustrating
