I have the full version of ottp 5. And was wondering if there was a way of importing real players into the game.

Hey, I suggest you download OOTP 8 for free, we've just made it available as freeware:
Out of the Park Baseball 8 Free

There it is very easy to create any historical league you like as the historical Lahman database is already included.
