Personally, I would just name them as they are unless you want to go with non-sponsored names. Apparently T&A isn't a sponsor, but the only one with a nickname seems to be Grosseto (Orioles.)

Actually there are other nicknames in the league, but for some reason, they are almost never used, Godo is where my brother played for 2 seasons are the Vikings but I have never once seen it mentioned that way online... it is something that I never knew until he told me

I'm thinking because the nicknames arn't very prevalent I’ll just use the club name or sponsor and then club name. I’ll just leave the nicknames blank. (Very basic and very easy to change!)

Yep... this is one of the reasons when I've done my own Italian leagues in versions since 2006 I've just come up with my own teams (though based on areas where baseball is "popular"/played in real life.)

For team names, just put the city first and the nickname second like in America. Most football clubs go by both their team name and the nickname. For instance, I'm a Chelsea FC fan (in England, for those who don't know) and we call the team both Chelsea and the Blues depending basically on how we're feeling.

Just a couple of quick question....what would you put for the player creation modifiers for a league like this?

I assume you would set it up as a 'major league' and then dial down the modifiers....how low do you go?

Oh, and thanks to walrus and athletics for their logo and uni mods - and are there any caps out there by anyone for the Italians?

And would you mind sharing what you came up with for the financials?

I thought I had made caps for the Italian league then I looked back as saw I didn't. Anyways I finished them up and here is a link for them...
