Have you thought about creating a Profile Badge in Facebook that loyal fans can include in their signatures on other forums and blogs? I created one below, but I could only include the picture link, unfortunately, because these forums limit the amount of HTML code that can be included in a signature. A fully functioning badge includes links to Facebook, website, and e-mail address.

I'm thinking that you could make a badge and upload the code someplace that fans could copy and include in their signatures and such. You probably should make it as simple as possible and still get the job done.

If you are a fan of FB or a follower on Twitter at the point they reach 2000 then you'll be in with a shot. So even if you joined before this announcement you'll still be a fan at the point they reach 2000

I work for one of the world's leading academic presses and we have Twitter feeds and a facebook fan page. And we give away free books to folks who can solve theoretical math problems. It's 2009 you know.
