Hey guys,
patch 4 is almost done now, and it is shaping up quite nicely. We were able to tackle all reported issues and fixed most of them. On top of that, we added a few enhancements as well: - Added player personality ratings & sugested pitcher role to player HTML report - Added the ability to edit player contract incentives and options - Historical players can now be imported into a draft pool - Added 'Rotation Mode' to the league strategy settings, you can set this to 'Strict', 'Highest Rested' or 'Default'. AI teams will use this mode when setting up their starting rotation. - Player strategy settings allows you to lock a pitcher to a certain role (useful for trying pitchers in certain roles in AI-controlled minor league teams) - Improved in-game AI, contract-related AI and general roster AI - Added a 'maximized' window display mode, and you can now enter a user defined window size in the preferences dialog as well - Added an auto-backup routine. Basically, the game automatically backs up league files before saving, and should this save fail it automatically restores the backup files when loading the league the next time. I hope the patch will be ready for release next week ![]() All the best, Markus

Yes. I think the third patch must be the one Markus is wearing over his eye.

A question from a newbie, with the new patch(when it's released) is it best to start a new game or will the patch and it's updates etc work with the old game. The only reason I'm asking is because some games I play require a new game to have all the updates from the latest patch and others don't need you to start a new game.

In general, yes, everything is fine. But for example, if we make changes to the MLB roster set, they won't be reflected if you have a pre-existing MLB game. You would need to start a new MLB game in order to see those changes. Steve

As a fan of competitive ball in general, a world series between Nats and Jays would be amazing. Two crap teams fighting it out tooth-and-nail to see which one can score a run in 7 games.
