- I want LESS news stories
- I want LESS messages. They never get read anyway so for me they just take up valuable memory for other things. - I want a decent schedule editor. It would appear that making schedules is a highly guarded secret. - I want better record keeping for individual games and players. - Better printing of player card, game scores and stats other then the awful way it has to be done now. - Better playoff games flexibility. - MASS select PLEASE - An easier was to assign players to teams without have to go into each player editor. Some things I don't want is more distractions not associated with baseball. NO player agents, NO TV media, NO players getting married and having kids. Just more baseball. Please |

Ability to either turn off manager mode and just control any number of teams as human controlled as it was in 6.5 or allow for more than one team at a time to be manager controlled. Not to be confused with controlling all teams in commissioner mode. Example, being able to manage 2 teams simultaneously without having to change manager profiles.

FACEGEN:
Have backgrounds specifica to a league level. EXAMPLE: AAA pictures take background form AAA file so ballparks match the level. AA players in same universe get taken from AA folder. Ect ect The ability for home and away uniforms. Facegen can be told to select either one or random as a feature. |

Here's my wishlist(not in any order)
1. Revamp the game's sound to give it more of a ballpark feel, ditch the terrible rock music and replace it with organ music. 2.Add in real life managers for historicals, with each man's tendencies mirroring their real life ones. 3.Include the ability to recreate "reserve clause" era baseball,it was a part of the game for nearly 100 years and needs to be included for historicals. 4.Make defense a much more important part of the overall game, as of now it just seems to play too small of a role. 5. As always, tighten up the AI's in-game managing ability. Its much better than last year, but it still can be improved.Better lineup choices, better use of pinch hitters/runners. Better use of staff/bullpen, these types of things. 6.Same deal with AI GM's.They need to be much more formidable adversaries. 7. More intuitive ballpark effects, as it stands now they're a bit of a puzzle. 8.The default injury model is still producing too may long term injuries and not enough short term ones(My opinion) 9. Way more variety in the news, it's always the same stories, shutouts, trades, 5+ hit games, and major injuries. How about recapping the games of the top 3 performers of the day, as well as rivalry games and pennant races. I would love to see a story about a team closing the gap on a division/League leader or vice-versa. 10. Single game records!!! This is a huge omission

Since TonyM has given us the ability to add byes to our playoffs using his utility, the feature I'd most like to see is the ability to play a tournament of champions from different leagues. I support many requests, but that's the one feature I'd most like to see now.

I'd like to see the AI manage a little differently in Game 7's or other "elimination" games. It bothers me to see AI leave a starter in to get hammered in such games. Even just a few changes like an earlier hook for pitchers and earlier pinch-hitting would help. Also, more recognition in the PBP that the game is for all the "money, marbles and chalk" as we used to say, would generate a little excitement.

my ootp11 suggestions
Id like to see:
1) More in diverse scouting. Maybe compare the player to a current player or old player. If my scout thinks hes going to be the next Roger Clemens or Alex Rodriguez tell me that. Add scouting on injury proness. Like there could be a godly prospect in the draft, but some teams avoid him bc he has arm trouble history or gets hurt alot. Theres alot you can do with scouting that hasnt been touched yet...but bigger and more detailed reports top my list. 2) Id like to see performance points added. Much like "MY PLAYER" mode for Nba2k10, where a player earns a certain amount of points for the way he has played throughout the season that can boost batting average or power. So if he played well, in the offseason he has the option to not increase points...but to buy an offseason weght coach or something to that degree which would increase the likely hood of him gaining power. 3) In that light a MY PLAYER mode would be nice. Where we start as a touted prospect. We create our player, position. drafted by a team, and the mode follows you to the pros. This hasnt been done yet for a baseball sim and i think the stats in this game would take advantage of soemthing like this. 4) GM pics of suits. Since i oversee all of baseball operations like Brian Cashman, i want to look the part. Please let me wear a suit in my picture. I cant imagine Brian Cashman the GM for the Yankees walking around the office in a yankees hat and jersey. 5) I know its cheating but when i play my own franchise and get frustrated with a deteriorating players contract, i cant help but go to options be the league GM and change his contract stats and potential etc etc. Maybe install a feature that lets me set up my league, edit my players, then turn off some features that allow me to change player potential or edit players abilities and contracts so I am not tempted to do so. If i dont have the option, I wont want to do it. |

Multiple shortlists with editable names would be nice (i.e. One for players you are interested in trading for, maybe another to keep track of specific players in your minor league system, etc).

More accurate and more foreign leagues. I enjoy creating a baseball "world". The people who are big for the upgraded college and high school feeder leagues, (which I agree with) should realize that college and high school players don’t make up the whole MLB anymore.
With that said, a creation or the VSL and DSL (Venezuelan summer league and Dominican summer league) These two leagues are huge for baseball. A place for all the spanish players that were scouted to start the MILB career. A feature that lets you scout these kids and bid aginst other teams like in real life. The more money and effort you put in the better the reports and more prospects you'll find. Lots of teams focus more on the VSL and DSL and less on the draft, but some teams also put all their effort in the draft and not worry about spanish players. Maybe a scout option that specializes money and efforts in those countries, rather than just a general "international" fund. Maybe not make it so easy for an MLB team to sign all the good talent out of the other leagues. It seems that money always wins. And the Japanese or any other league can't compete with the money the MLB teams throw at their best players. I realize that it works in real life e.g Ichiro and Dice-k, but some players must sign with the league for love of country and not love of money. Hall of Fame for each level. Each minor league should have the option of rewarding greatness. Even in college and high school, if the player goes on to a mediocre career they may have been phenoms at a young age. Letting the player "choose" the teams he's induced into the HOF with. A picture freeze right after he retires with him in the uniform of his choice. What a neat way to look at the legends of your league.

The ability to lock individuals into positions in the depth chart or rotation/bullpen slots. This way, if you still use the Ask Manager functionality to move around only the "open" players into the available slots.
