Feedback Needed / OOTP 11 Features
OK folks, as we try to wrap up this patch for OOTP 10, we'll be turning our eyes towards OOTP 11 next. We'll be going through the suggestions forum, but a while back Markus indicated he'd ask for feedback here as well.
So, have at it. What are the things you'd most like to see in OOTP 11? (We may potentially do some polls later on, but we're fundamentally skeptical of how representative the results would be, so it would probably be more out of curiosity than to make any key product decisions.) Editable milestones and accomplishments. Not every league plays a 162 game modern schedule, which makes things like 20 wins, 50+ HR, 150+ RBI unreachable.

The ability to have one league champion play against another league champion to find who the true champion is.

Oh since we can set a salary cap how about a salary floor. That is something I wish the real MLB had, then those teams, marlins, would actually spend the money that the yankees give them.

1. I don't want to play out my games with the still and boring picture.
2. A tool for making a roster; I don't want to wait for a patch to play the laster roster. 3. Maybe include some real Japanese player in NPB for the MLB quickstart? (I know you need to solve many issues to make this happen  )4. Player's potential, most real (young) players in the Minors sucks..Maybe I lost patient when I intended to develop them. 5. More Awards... |

How about owners having more of an impact on the team. I know we have that somewhat already but a greater impact would be nice from a pure GM standpoint. I would love to have owners in the game that range from the marlins owner to the yankees owners. Basically like it was back in OOTP 6.

Small things, big to me.
 1) Figure out a way for the database to accomodate adding back in the Inherited Runs Scored % for relievers. 2) Award the manager of the year to the manager.

More immersion factor.
I'd like to see the return of messages from my managers, "So-and-so is doing really well." I'd also like to see some things like messages that require decisions and have impacts down the road. Like a player demanding a trade, or a coach recommending you bench a player, etc.

More roster updates or no real rosters in the game. I am so glad that OOTP 10 had real rosters in them but I also find it not to enjoyable waiting for them to be updated. I don't mean to have them updated as trades happen after opening day, I am talking about having opening day rosters error free. I basically haven't played because I know the patch will have the rosters fixed but it would be nice if we didn't have to wait for the patch to play with new updated rosters.

I continue my campaign for more flexible playoff formats and league structures. Most important are the ability to create byes. It would be great to be able to do double elimination tournaments (College World Series), world cup style pool-then-elimination tournaments, and so on.
I would also like to have the ability to set up a promotion-relegation league. I know that this makes the purists cringe but I love this game because it let's me do 'what if' formats. If I want to see MLB baseball then I will turn on the TV. On a more basic note, I am constantly frustrated that the choices for saving box scores, and replays. The choices are none, human leagues or all leagues. I play a fictional solo league in 'god mode' and therefore don't have a 'human league' identified but I only want to save box scores for the US major league. This is very annoying. |

More rules and restrictions to tinker with would be cool IMO, Like give us the ability to specify what nationalities to limit or ban. This would help with setting up Negro Leagues. Speaking of Negro leagues, give us the ability to limit or ban by ethnicity, also.
 Oh yeah, and let us have ties and proper doubleheaders, please.
