movement rating
Hey guys,
I noticed that when I edit a pitcher's movement rating in my fictional league, no matter how high I set the actual or potential rating for movement, it never will go higher than about 45-50. I was wondering if something else goes into the calculation for movement, or if this is a known glitch. The control and stuff calculations work fine. Thanks in advance. |

what ratings range do you use? is scouting on? One thing that I find is that, with scouting off, if a guy's edited rating isn't updating on the player page, just bump up a hitting rating slightly (ex if his avoid k's vs. RHP is a 12, make it a 13), whereas if you don't see changes in a hitter, you can slightly edit one of his pitching ratings to reflect the major change on the player page.

i am using a 100 pt scale (without hidden ratings) and no scouting
If I set a pitcher's movement to 250 on the editor screen (and GB% at 1%), it won't go higher than 45-50 (out of 100) on the player page (not the HTML screen). Yet if I do the same for the other two attributes, stuff and control, the ratings clearly show maxed out ratings...so they are changing properly with the editor. I am not sure why movement doesn't go up properly. |

Well, the higher the movement rating, the lower the home run rate, so I'd suggest that you set the GB% to the highest possible percentage, not the lowest and report its effects.

very interesting...you were right about the GB%...it seems to have changed from previous versions...if this number was higher in previous versions, pitcher predicted ERA was higher and so was Opponents Batting Ave. But in this version, having a higher GB% (up to 90%) actually lowers Opponent Batting Ave and the pitcher's ERA (predicted numbers in Editor.) I am just suprised as it is the complete opposite as previous versions (I had previously put GB% at 1 % in other versions and the lowered a pitcher's era and opponents batting average to the lowest possible values.) Thanks for the help.
