I don't think anything to do with the patch caused that. That usually is because of a permission issue on that directory on the server, or incorrect username/password within ootp.

Sorry, I posted this in the patch release thread, but then I saw this one and realized it might be the more appropriate place to post this:
New issue: Now that the game is patched, the historical DB in my long-running solo historical league isn't working properly. I'm using Lahman 5.6, comma-delimited. When it comes time to import the draft class, it gives me the "loading database" graphic and everything. When I go to the draft class screen, though, all the players are entirely fictional - no major leaguers in sight. I've double-checked the database path and the draft settings, "import historical amateurs" is checked - it's all the same as it's ever been. I even tried re-installing the Lahman DB to another directory - same result. Edit I noticed now after "loading database", the progress bar heading switches briefly to "creating draft class". Is Lahman 5.6 comma-delimited not compatible with this patch? This is obviously bad news and a big problem for my league, which is in 1963 now after starting in 1901 - fortunately, I was able to 'end process' when the bad draft classes came in so its integrity is still preserved. Any ideas? |

What's not working? I know there was a lot of work put into squashing an online league waivers bug that's been around for awhile. Curious to see what issues you're experiencing.

This is what's currently happening: - Player is waived AND auto pullback is checked - Player gets claimed by another team - Auto pullback function denies the player claim - (here's the bug) Player appears to have CLEARED waivers and is no longer listed on the 40 man roster. If a guy is claimed and auto pullback functions properly, the guy should not show up as CLEARED and be off the 40 man roster. He should be forced to remain on the 40 man, as well as having to be put on irrevocable waivers if he is passed through again. |

Found a bug already.
League converted then ran the last day of ST. Looking through talent dumps and bumps and found one of my pitchers get a talent increase in movement from 5 to 7. Problem is, in game profile and talent doesn't reflect that. Player Report for #24 Jared Blanchard Check the development link in there to see. Also seeing position players with pitching increases and decreases to talent. That normal? edit: Actually looking over this, I am seeing quite a few players with ghost rating changes. This isn't good i don't think Talent changes in pitching Clark Bowers, he is a catcher. Pitcher supposed to get a slider increase from 2 to 3. Listed at 2 still. John Brewer edit #2: Seems to be the talent changes itself not reflecting in game but the ratings change is Last edited by easedel; 10-17-2009 at 03:37 PM. |

This bug was supposedly fix even if the fix list doesn't say so. It is a very hard bug to reproduce though, and I have not been able to reproduce it since Markus said it was fixed. Can you please tell me if you are upset because it was not listed in the bug fix list and want it fixed, or are you upset because you have seen this bug still exists with the new patch? If the former, then give it a try, markus supposedly did fix it and I have not been able to get this bug to reoccur since then personally. If the latter, then please let us know because we'll need help with this one. (We'll want your league file from before and after the sim as well as the exports of the team involved because this one is a pain in the butt.)

Attempting to remove a player from the 40-man roster always requires irrevocable waivers. At least, that's how it works in the real world. Removing a player from the 40-man roster is an outright assignment, and outright assignments waivers are always irrevocable. Unless you are talking about trade waivers, that is, allowing a player to be moved from one major league team to another. Those waivers are revocable.

Fictional 16-team league on Opening Day: Crashed when I went to look at 'All Players' and clicked to arrange potential ratings in descending order. Running on Vista 64-bit. Not a big deal, could be nothing, but like to report stuff that has never happened to be before after installing the new patch. Love it!

That's what I figured. This is a problem I've remarked upon before—OOTP really needs to differentiate between the four types of waivers. Each type has a specific purpose with specific requirements.

I believe the game is simming faster since the patch, has anyone else noticed this...The Affiliated Teams being added to the team pages is a good addition. You can easily check out your minor players spot in rotation and lineup...

Not sure if anyone else is seeing this but I am unable to save custom views now. The save button is diabled. Maybe user error though...

I opened a bug on this. I see it also. You actually can still save them. use the Enter key and it will save them even with the button disabled.

I have not noticed any difference in the in-game sound. I still get sudden spikes in volume, and the heavy metal music is still there.
