Eroding Stamina, and other thoughts.

I really like the new pitching model, but have a handful of issues with it.

When a pitcher gets moved to the bullpen because he only has 2 pitches, and stays there his whole career, would it not make sense for his stamina to slowly go down to reliever levels? This creates a lot of guys who routinely get into 85+ games a year, and pitch 110 innings a season.

After years of pitching out of the bullpen, it seems like he'd have trouble keeping that 8-10 endurance up that high.

I've also been seeing (and maybe it's the new patch?) players participating in playoff games after not being with the big league club all season, and especially not before September which I believe is the call up date to have a guy on your postseason roster.

This isn't like Mark Kiger for the A's in 2006, who had to join the club in the ALCS because of injuries.

I've seen two instances where a guy started a game on the mound after being in the minors all year long, and not seeing any big league action until the playoffs come around. Both of these were top prospects, who I assume had their ratings improve enough to make them one of the better starters on the club, so the AI stuck then in there.

It just didn't seem very realistic.

Anyways, a few problems I've found with the game. Best OOTP so far, in my book!

I don't think the problem is really with high endurance, 2 pitch relievers, it's the relief pitching fatigue system as a whole. Any reliever can effectively be used for a short/medium stint every other day, but fatigue excessively if used 2 consecutive days. It creates a system where the best way to manage your bullpen is to use your top relievers for 2 innings every other day, barring blow outs. It's not realistic, but it is effective....too effective.
