Players refusing to negotiate
In one of my solo leagues a few of my players are refusing to negotiate with me and are indicating they will not listen to any offers. In previous versions I was under the impression that they would sometimes change their mind and let you make offers. Is this still the case in V. 10?

![]() I have had 38 year old closers, who despite being on a winning team, receiving a paycheck with many commas, and not having too great of a year--(their own stats/performance), give me the "this player has indicated he will test free agency." I usually get what I can for them at the deadline. |

In my limited experience, the ones who don't want to talk are either not playing as much (starting) as they think they should or pitchers who want to be in a different role than you are using them. In the case of position players, if you do want to keep them, start them more often. In the case of pitchers, particularly closers whom you might using in middle relief, have them close for awhile. It will generally get them more interested in talking to you.
This is not a 100% reliable approach, but it could help. |
