* Cecil Fielder and son Prince Fielder
* Eric Gagné, French-Canadian major league baseball pitcher, whose last name translates from French to "win"
* Butch Huskey, Major League Baseball player (Huskey had a husky build, weighing 255 pounds)
* Derek Jeter, New York Yankees shortstop (jeter is French for "to throw")
* Josh Outman, Oakland Athletics pitcher
* Charlie Spikes, former Major League Baseball player
I happened to see this just after playing a 1907 in which we faced pither Roy Hitt, so it got me thinking:

Matt Batts played for Bos/Det in the 50s
We all know Larry and Todd Walker
There have been at least half a dozen Singletons
I had to look these two up, but indeed there was a pitcher name Jake Striker
and a utility man named Jim Steels
There have been several players named Ball
but, oddly enough, never a major leaguer named Wild/Wilde.

My recent favorites are the closer Eddie Guardado, wondering if Rob Ducey could hit the curve, and, of course, a pitcher named Homer.

Most fitting real sports name ever.

Mack Strong, former fullback for the Seahawks. Its like he was named by Nintendo.

Using Canadian league, I had an Andrew Gagnon come up on my biggest division rival. (Thats my name) what was interesting was that another division rival 2 years later had a Peter Gagnon (My brothers name) also to face.... if Connor Gagnon (My son) ends up on the only other team in my division without a Gagnon, I will go buy a lottery ticket....

You should not buy a lottery ticket because it's clear that you have just used up all your luck.

There are about 725,000 reasons why that would be a perfect ordinary event.

You need a newer set of name files. I fixed that error years ago.

This isn't really a name like you guys are pointing out, but it is a pretty cool name anyway.

Meet SP Red Bishop from my dynasty. He has one of the cooler names I have seen come out of OOTP.
