Question about daily player ratings

Hi,

Does anyone know if the same ratings get used for a player every game (assuming they haven't changed because of the development engine)? For example, if a pitcher's stuff rating is 13, is it 13 every game he pitches or does it vary to simuate a great or poor performance?

Thanks

It's standard until A) it changes because of the development and B) a new scouting report is compiled (assuming scouting is turned on).

Thanks. I know the value as seen by the human player doesn't change, but I didn't know if 'under the hood' the value is adusted on a game to game basis to simulate a hot or cold game.

Point B above only means the player can see the change in rating due to development, but it would take effect as soon as the development took place.

The game has some inate sense of hot or cold - players definitely go on streaks. So yes, the player with 13 stuff sometimes pitches like a player with 15 stuff for short stretches and sometimes pitches like a player with 10 stuff. I don't know whether there is game-to-game variability coded in. I would assume that there is enough variability in just what happens, but there could be some programmed variability. I guess only Markus knows.

Yep, that is exactly what I mean. I no longer remember enough about statistics to determine how much variability would just 'happen' even though the rating is constant. Thanks for your 2 cents.
