I have not tried to play since the patch, but I'm always a little skeptical when someone says something 'rocks.'

Maybe this weekend I'll be able to devote some time to OOTP.

I normally use OOTP specifically for online leagues. But I have played out more games in a solo league than I have ever done before with this patch.

I also witnessed my first perfect game and a 21-inning marathon.

I'd say it rocks, for sure.

Yeh i kind of miss the old MD, but the new MD is a much better model. Especially for the noob's. I loved it when a silly question was asked and MD would go on the attack. I asked a few silly questions of my own over the years. But all kidding aside i think the forums are really what sell's this game. We have a great bunch on here who are very helpful and that's what makes people stick around...

Have to agree with you. But rest assured, the old one's right there with him in waiting. I imagine it's not unlike holding back that bathroom break. When the opportunity finally presents itself, the relief is phenomenal.

Yeh us old guys have that crankiness just waiting under the surface..

The people on this forum and of course the mod makers really keep this game going, I know for myself I've haven't been able to get into a fictional world just yet. But its the historical part i love and the modders with their logo, face, and stadium mods really do it for me. I'm using a photopack that actually changes the pics over the years which adds to the realism when you see the player looking older, anyways i'm starting to blather so just my two cents.....

I use the complete historical photo set {by the decade) on Padre"s fans website. It is put together by a bunch of modders, for my historical league its all i need there are only a few players missing. The photo's change on their own. Its a good set...

I just started a new fictional league for the first time since the patch and it is much better. There were a few things that annoyed the hell out me that are gone. No more reassessing free agents after leaving each free agent player profile.

I just kind of mixed it all together. What do you do to get it to work like this? And will it work like this with ver 9?
