If things get this complex it sure would be nice to set things up the way one wants and be able to SAVE these screens to apply to the next league one might wish to try. Not a Quickstart/Template but a simple save of ones choices.

Thanks! Glad you like it.

![]() Actually, your point about the intimidation factor is a good argument in favor of the Detail Level/Mode idea. Even if all the options are preset, it might be a little overwhelming for some newer players to open up the screens and see all these many options. Quote:
However--and this is regardless of whether the percentage editor is implemented or not--I think all nation menus should have the nations with a Baseball Level of 5 or 4, instead of just the 5's. I usually only have 2 or 3 (sometimes just the USA) rated at 5, so this isn't that helpful as it is. Even with 4's thrown in, you're still only looking at about 5-10 nations at the top. (Hmm... come to think of it, maybe 3's should even be up there, too! )Either way, I'm glad you mentioned it, Hazza. I'm definitely down with this idea.

So, while the playoffs for a league are set up on a league-level screen, multiple league playoffs would be set up on a universe-level game screen. Or, alteratively, a screen dedicated specifically to creating playoffs between separate leagues.

A special thanks to Muzamba and LGO.
They are visionaries that deserve Markus' attention. Please email him your proposals directly. Otherwise he may not see this fine thread. |

It'll obviously have the Universal Playoffs and my idea of Universal HoF, but do you have any ideas as to what else should be included? *EDIT: I keep saying Game Setup, but I what I mean here is Global Setup.

If LGO isn't yet a permanent fixture on the design team, something is seriously wrong in the OOTP universe. I'd hire him as a full-time consultant for his rules/schedule knowledge alone! I'm sure that once I (or we, depending on how much time LGO has to devote to this project) have a complete set of polished mock-ups and detailed descriptions of each, we'll email them all to Markus (...or sooner if he indicates he's ready to start working on OOTP11 before then. )

I tend to thank posts if I think there's nothing I can or need to add to them. I agree that LGO should be on the design team if at all possible. |

Well, it is appreciated.
![]() I may not have accumulated all that many posts over the last 8 years (I tend to save up my comments for long, wordy diatribes ) but I figure I can at least maintain a healthy ranking in the thanks-per-post ratio category! ![]() (Even though Markus left me in the dust after he released the last patch. )
