Import Historical Player: Can I Wipe Out Career Stats

Markus receptively implemented my suggestion to be able to import historical players into the draft pool, for those of us who like doing alltime leagues. Problem is, when you import a player, any season he's played prior to his import year is in his career stats for the league. Is there a way I can delete his stats so he begins with no history...otherwise being able to import him to a rookie draft is kind of pointless.

Go into Game Setup from the Game Menu.

The select the right most tab, League Setup.

You'll see a bunch of buttons on the right hand side. Scroll all of the way to the bottom and you'll see 'Erase all Career Stats of all players' 3rd from the bottom.

But that will erase the career stats of all the players in my league, too. I don't want to do that. I just don't want to new draft class coming in with career stats.

I'm not sure if you can do what you're looking for.

No need to apologize. I wasn't clear. My existing league importsna draft class made up of top players from a three to five year period in history. Previously, because you couldn't import historical guys into the draft pool I had to make every draft class from scratch. When Markus agreed to implement this feature I figured it would save time. But when I import guys I use their first regular season. They import with all historical stats before that year in their career line. That's what I want to avoid.

I think the import/export in the game setup will do it. You export them, make the necessary change in the txt files and import the result in your league.

I've never use it, so it's better that you make a backup first just in case it doesn't work.

Good thing I backed up. Doing it wiped out career stats for all hitters. No idea why.

Oh well, I'll make em from scratch. Done it for three drafts now.
