Transferring Data
I have OOTP running on both my laptop and my desktop, and while it runs fine in both places, I've run in to a bit of an obstacle. See, while I'm at home, I like to play on my desktop because it has a larger screen and keyboard. I would like to run the same league on laptop and desktop, transferring any changes from one to the other whenever I get to the desktop. Unfortunately, I can't seem to do that--when I try to copy my saved game data from the desktop to a flash drive, I get about 75% through and then receive an error telling me that a file could not be copied. Invariably it is a player file, and if I delete that player file, the error message tells me the next file now has the same problem.
Anyone have and suggestions?

You're probably filling up the memoy of your flash drive or the memory allocated to the copy command due to the sheer number of files. Try zipping up all the files first, and then seeing how big the zip file is and transferring just that one file.

Get a really big flash drive and run your league from it. Carry it with you.

I thought my flash drive WAS pretty big. But I guess the league's too much data.
How would I go about loading from the USB? Can I just browse from the load game screen?

I use an external hard drive which has plenty of space and has a great transfer rate(con is they can be pricey). Also I zip up my file and send it to my file hosting website(i use mediafire which is free to a certain limit) then you can download it to wherever you would like. FYI if you do use the file hosting site, I would delete old box scores/messages/game logs to make the file smaller.
I use the file hosting to back up my league just in case either hard drive screws up.

You're welcome. Fortunately I remembered that thread.
