Expansion question

Just finished the expansion draft...I remember reading that I'll need to fill one or more of my minor league teams with fictionally created players (auto-gen). Is this best, or should I just sign a million FA's?

Wasn't sure if any of the patches, or the original OOTP X game itself, took this situation into account already.

1. Is it a real team/real player league? If yes, and you want to keep it that way, then sign FA's.

2. Do the teams have any players in their minors now? How many rounds was your expansion draft?

3. You can turn on ghost players and not have to worry about minors, but you definitely need some players at AAA at least for call-ups. Injuries will happen if you have them enabled.

It is a real player MLB style league. I expanded after the 2009 season.

35 rounds for the expansion draft.

I have a handful of players I drafted, probably just over 20, who are in my minors and also a few I've claimed off waivers.

I plan on having my AAA, AA, A teams filled by opening day. When does Short season and rookie ball start?

I'm on November of 2009 FYI.

Well, you may want to fill one or two levels with fictional players, entirely a personal choice.

To find out when Short Season and Rookie Ball start, go to the respective league pages and view the schedule.
