I'm sure Padres Fan's site would be happy to have you upload a quick start. There are a couple of others I'm sure.

I'm enjoying my settings because I seem to be getting a good mix of results. Players are peaking at the right ages, but some are also getting to the big show at 21-23 and doing fairly well.

At the same time, there are some guys who just aren't ready until they're a bit older. But I'm getting peaks at ages 26-31.

The actual aging process though, which is what you specifically asked about, is what is really making me love these settings.

Again, I'm getting a fantastic mix, especially for hitters. Here are two screenshots to show what I'm seeing.

This is my career hits leader, after playing from 1912-1962. Injuries are off, FYI. I have a good mix of guys who just keep on playing. But check out his VORP...peaks exactly at age 27.

Now, look at this guy...

Oh, Tom Van de Bosch. First two years were with the same team..they moved. He was then traded in a blockbuster deal.

In the 1940's, he won EIGHT triple crowns. This guy was the best hitter on the planet. I was coaching Detroit, and I watched him fall. At the age of 31, he became a shell of himself. Again, no injuries. By 34, he was riding the pine. I like to think he stuck around to enjoy the end of his 10-year deal.

Anyway, the main thing I'm seeing is guys getting to 35-37 and their skills starting to fall down gracefully.
How do pitchers look for the most part?

I'm happy with them as well. I just did a 50-year sim with default modifiers just to get a sampling of players, and I'm typically seeing VORP peaks at 27-28-29 or so. Most pitchers seem to be lasting further into their 30's and many more getting into their 40's compared to hitters which I like.

OK. I have a near-final version up. Out of town for Thanksgiving starting in about 20 minutes, and not sure I'll have game access until I get back on Friday. But if anyone wants to run a long-term career with these and give me feedback, upload the HTML, or whatever, go for it.

THE ONE THING I FORGOT TO DO: SET THE ROOKIE LEAGUE TO START ON JUNE 20th OR SO, SO THAT DRAFTEES HAVE SOMEWHERE TO PLAY IMMEDIATELY. I set it that way in the long-term test that I'm starting up now, but not in the template. You'll want to do that before you start simming.

I'm doing a solo league, starting with a modern year and going forward. Seems like development as 1.000 is fine, but that aging should be tweaked downward. Just can't decide how far to get normal results with normal aging curves with guys declining in mid late 30s but able to be productive relatively until early 40s like we see in normal MLB.

Does .750 for batters and pitchers seem reasonable? lower? higher?

If you get a chance, would you be willing to post the settings that you are using?
