All Time Greatest teams
Is there a way to set up an "All Time Greatest" teams league? A league with the 27 Yanks, 54 Indians, 86 Mets, etc.. Can you somehow take the 27 Yankees from the Historical 1927 season database and do the same with other teams from other seasons to build a league? Probably a stupid question, but just wondering.

Not a stupid question. I'm sure it has been asked before.
Sorry, I don't know the answer, but I'm sure our Community will be able to help you. I'll do a search on the forums and see what I can find. |

I don't know if there's an easier way, but here's 1 way. If you create a fictional league with the structure you want, then go to game setup and release all players/clear rosters (this will make all players free agents). Then go to your free agent screen and delete all free agents (must be in commish mode for this). Then go back to game setup and edit league structure, import whichever teams you want from the historical database (just change year-then refresh rosters & hit import) and delete the fictional teams. Hope this helps-Good Luck!

Here is a template from padresfans. It is an all-time teams from cooperstown. Coop has done a great job with his templates. It is the top right selection.

Hi Kagnew 35,
Thank you for taking the time to answer. Sounds easy enough, but I am missing something. When I try to unzip the File to Documents/ootpx/saved games the computer says cannot find the path. Sorry for the trouble, I did download the file no problem and it is ready to UNZIP into the proper folder, I am just having trouble. Is there an easy solution? thank you Kagnew bob |

Did you allow the game to be installed to the default folders? If so, look in your documents folder for Out of the Park, folder there, then OOTPX, then saved games. Goes there

Kagnew 35,
Thank you again,
Yes the game downloaded to the Default folders. (MY Documents) I see the OOTPx folders there, and the Saved Games folder. When I extract the Cooperstown teams to the Saved Games folder, it says Successful, but when I start the game and go to LOAD GAME the Cooperstown teams are not there. The other game seasons are (1968 and 1963) but no Cooperstown. Maybe I am just trying to bite off more than I can chew (or do) being a new player. I'll stick with the individual season games for now. It's not worth the frustration for me (and your time) as well. Thank you Kagnew, I do appreciate your time, see ya at the ballpark. Bob |

Open the saved games folder and see if there is a cooperstown.lg folder. Or if theres a tar.gz folder, you may have to unzip this one to "here"

Cooperstown
Hi Kagnew,
I opened up the Saved Games folder under My documents, OOTPx and the Cooperstown Baseball League.lg is there. When I started a New Game ... load game ... The Cooperstown Baseball is there, but it says (Cannot load the file World.dat is missing) The only way I could get the Cooperstown league.lg there was to copy it and move it off to the side of the screen. And then I moved it manually into the Saved Games folder. maybe we're getting closer, I hope so, sorry for all this trouble, me a dunce with computers. Bob |

Where do I Import the teams from? I know how to import seasons. How do I get specific teams 27 yanks, 69 mets etc. |

Open your league-go to Game setup then league setup-then edit league structure, select import historical team. It will open box-highlight historical_database.odb-hit confirm then box opens for import historical team-change the year to whatever season you want hit the refresh teams button (you need to hit this every time you change years) then select the team you want from that year.
