With ratings that big, the game's going to kill him with injuries. It does that to all my amazing players. xD

Is this right before the inaugural draft? The game tends to do that.
You won't see this other than the game-generated players for the inaug draft though

I actually drafted a guy in the amateur draft who ended up with practically straight tens (1-10) across the board. Amazingly, he wasn't the first overall player selected as even I drafted somebody else before him. While he wasn't 18 like your miracle player, he's installed now as my 3rd batter and just had his second year of flirting with .400 and ending up with an OBP over .500 because nobody wants to pitch to him, even with 40 homer hitters behind him.

Well I simmed ahead, here is his stats for the first 3 years of his career:
![]() He isn't exactly blowing the world away yet. He missed about 6 weeks during his first season but since then he hasn't missed any significant playing time. He hasn't even been selected to one all-star game yet, and the only awards he has won are 3 player of the week awards. He has a bright future ahead I am sure, I am just waiting for him to finally bust out one of these seasons. He is only 20 though and I have never seen a player so young so good so I don't know if OOTP handles players that young in the bigs differently especially since he has taken a slight potential ratings hit, but nothing too huge, he's still a beast there.
