HS/College Feeders; Only 19/22 Year Olds In Draft

So I created enough feeder leagues to full stock the draft pool. After getting to the draft and starting to choose my players I noticed that the only 2 ages in the draft are 19 year olds for HS and 22 year olds for college. How do I get a wider spectrum of ages for the draft?

It sounds like you need to define the minimum and maximum ages for generated players in your feeder league. This can be done by going to the Game menu, clicking Game Setup from the dropdown, selecting the League Setup tab, then the Options tab. Under Player Options, you'll see Created Age Min. and Created Age Max. For HS, you'll probably want to set the min. to 15 and the max. to 17. For college, I would set the min. to 18 and the max. to 21.

I could do that. But I would then get 18 and 22 year olds in the draft, wouldnt I? I want a nice mix.

Only thing I can think of is to set different feeders to different max ages; i.e., 18, 19, et al.

Yeah, you'd have to have multiple feeders - say one league with 14 to 17, another with 15 to 18, and so on.

True. Good ideas. I am curious what others have done or they just deal with it?

I've just dealt with it. It's not a big enough issue to me to matter.

I pay too much attention to detail I let little things like this get to me.

I wonder if something is not set up properly for you. I have some leagues that use feeders and I get a natural spread of ages. I haven't really progressed many years into those leagues though, so maybe it's a problem that would eventually creep up for me also. I do have the option of feeders + additional players, rather than just "feeders only" selected in the draft options, maybe that makes a difference.

Based upon on own experiences, Feeders+created is the only way you'll get a natural mix AND some stats without tinkering with the individual league ages.

You could create a JUCO feeder. You'd still have a lot of guys at 19/22 but you should have some at 20-21 with a JUCO feeder league.

That's not a bad idea. I think I set my league up with multiple feeders of the same type and I too would like a better mix, specifically younger players. What I'm seeing now in my league is that nobody really breaks into the majors until 24 but usually 25 or later. I don't get any in the 22-23 or younger bracket, which a fair number of major league prospects can do if they were HS players, and thus I don't see that many players even coming closer to HOF numbers. I'm only in my 13th season, but its hard for me to imagine 500 HR hitters emerging after they don't break into the league at a reasonable age.
