behavior of bad license?
I have installed the game at least 3 times now because of having viruses and needing to recover my machine back to square one.
On this latest attempt (third install), the game crashes after I install the license. I'm suspecting that this is behavior of a bad license key. I was hoping someone could confirm the game just crashes without explanation if a bad key is the problem. I'm feverishly trying to get the game working again so I can export for my online leagues. If my problem is a bad key, I need to take it up with the elicense people and just be patient. Otherwise, I want to keep trying to figure out what's wrong. Thanks in advance. You do know that with the license that you get the right to install the game only 2 times and that if you want to install it more times that you have to unlicense one of the previous 2 times.
I don't know what happens when you try to install a 3rd time without unlicensing first, but just a crash sounds a bit odd. If the order ID worked twice before though then I don't think it's "a bad license". Either way, just contact your licensor.

Rather than a crash, I think you would receive a message stating "this license is already in use" or something similar. Don't believe I've ever heard of a license causing a crash with OOTP.

Based on a recommendation from another board member I've been using VIPRE, from Sunbelt, as my anti-virus software. It's just as effective as the big name stuff and wins awards but is a different design that uses far less system resources and never messes with my gaming. I'm very happy with it.
