Stadium Capacity Static Through the Decades?

I have a couple of questions for people who play the game with historical settings, fictional teams/players/stadiums (stadia?), and finances with the historical financial coefficients turned on.

I have been playing my league from 1876 to 1905 and the financials seem to be working pretty reasonably ( $0.32 ticket price now - woo-hoo!). However, I don't intend to change any teams as time goes on. Therefore I assume the stadium capacity for a stadium will always stay the same unless I manually change it.

Right now (1905) the fictional stadium capacities are in the 1500-2000 range. When I advance into the modern age and the financial coefficients are approaching modern values, I have my doubts that this low stadium capacity will cut it and teams may end up starving.

Has anyone run into this problem and if so how did you solve it? My guess is that periodically I may need to do some stadium razing and building - but it would be nice if the game did that for me! I did some searching in the forums and the manual but I must have missed it if this has been brought up elsewhere.
