Is it possible to have to many feeder leagues?

Is it possible to have to many feeder leagues for 1 league?

Would you possibly get to much talent in the draft if you had to many leagues feeding it in?

I want to set up a US High School Baseball League. With a team from each state and use it as a feeder league to get some younger players into the Majors. But I already have 1 big College League, 2 small ones, and a small European High School league as feeders.

I would think so. Also keep in mind if you produce too many players for your draft the extras will go into the FA pool.

A search will show a few good threads on how many feeder teams to have to supply a MLB draft. I'd look over those threads before adding more leagues.

Personally, I don't think you can have too many feeder leagues from the standpoint of generating too much talent. Remember, in the real world, there's tons of potential players from colleges, high schools, and other nations that can feed the major leagues. The talent that is capable of playing at the highest level bubbles to the surface. I really think that to get a more accurate simulation, you'd want tons of feeders. All those players that don't get drafted really do become free agents with the possibility of being signed as an undrafted player.

For me, however, it becomes a problem of quantity. I don't get paid to do this full time, so searching through all those players for the guys that are getting good is too much work for me. On top of that, the more feeder leagues you have the longer it takes to simulate a single day in your OOTP world, and the more likely you are to start running into performance issues with the game. So I've come to the conclusion that it's best to have the minimum number of feeder leagues required to get the player pool I'm looking for, which chanegs with the league I'm creating.
