Not sure what to try to do.
When you zipped the file did you right click on the league folder (the one in saved_games with the '.lg' extension? It should have put everything in the league folder and all sub folders into the zip file. Did it take many minutes to zip or was it done almost instantaneously?

It says the world.dat file is missing when you try to open the game in OOTP.....other than that we are able to share a zip file and extract it, but we can't get it to successful upload in the game.

We got that, we just couldn't load the game on his computer basically because it said the world.dat file was missing?

Can you open the league on your computer (the original, not from the zipped file)?
Do you have the world.dat file in your league folder (I have one in mine)?
Did you create the zip file while OOTP was open on your computer? If so, maybe the file was in use and it caused the problem.

Option three could be it.

Answer one, yes

Answer two, yes.

I'd definitely try it again, but this time make sure OOTP is closed.

If you look in the zip file you already created (by double clicking on it) is the world.dat file in there and does its size match the one on your computer?

Uploading in the game is only for online leagues. In the method you are using you need to unzip the zipped league into your /data/saved_games folder before opening OOTPX. Then "load saved game" to have the game open and work properly. In this case you are sharing a complete *.lg file not an uploadable online league file.

Well we go to load game I should say, and that is where we run into the error, does your answer still apply?

No, but it seems you don't have a complete league file if you are missing world.dat.

Does your league file structure look like this. Note world.dat.

Good idea posting the folder structure. I was under the assumption the other files and fodlers were there and just the world.dat was messed up. He did have OOTP open when he zipped the file so it is possible the file was in use and wasn't zipped properly (although he probably would have gotten an error while zipping).
