Say What? "Cannot Afford the Contracts"
Okay, I keep getting the "Team cannot afford the contracts" message when trying to make trades. But it sure seems like the teams CAN afford the contracts. Like this message I just got: "Their projected budget room would drop by $1,004,176 to a total of $17,885,760." They've got almost $18M in budget room and they can't take a $1M hit. What gives? Is this a bug I need to report?

This is just a guess but it looks like you are playing with a salary cap. It is Boston that can't afford the contracts and looking at their financials they have 2.7 mil in extention money and 7.5 mil in free agent money until they bump up against the cap. I am guessing that the players in the trade make more than that so it puts them over the cap.

Yep - looks like a cap issue.
It's not showing on the trade screen like that because trade screen goes by budget and ignores cap. Maybe that should be something that's reported as a "bug" for leagues that use a salary cap. |
