User Restrictions
I have gone through some of the threads in this forum and the dynasty forum looking for good ideas on how to restrict yourself as a human manager in order to make the game easier. I have heard of people rolling dice to decide how many moves they can make in an offseason.
I'm looking for a clever restriction that might add another element to the game for me.

I can't say I have anything for a clever restriction. I shut waivers off. I refuse to initiate trades with the AI, limiting myself to accepting only what they offer without negotiating for a better deal. Depending on the way I am playing I sometimes make myself bid on free agents that will cost me a draft pick even when there are better players that won't cost me a pick. I call this Brian Sabean mode.

I usually put myself in a "smaller" market, and make my team among the lowest budgets in the league. Naturally, my budgets will rise if I win, so I always edit it back down to be in the bottom 1/4 of the league. That way I can only keep one or two stars. |
