I just had a (former)reliever; 2 pitch pitcher develop a 3rd pitch and his suggested role changed to SP. Right on time too as i lost one of my starters to FA

A related question.
I have a minor league pitcher with a stamina of 10. His role is a ML (I assume because he only has two pitches). I set his role to a starter in the strategy section and he seems to get hit around pretty badly, even though he is an 80 prospect. Is that because of the lack of a 3rd pitch? Also, if I force his role to SP while he's in the minors, is he more likely to develop a 3rd pitch? Last edited by edm; 01-29-2010 at 09:24 PM. |
